2026 marks a historic milestone as the Sarasota Bull Sharks officially enter the USARL competition for the first time. Based on Florida’s Southwest Coast, the Bull Sharks become the first-ever rugby league team from Sarasota, formed following the relocation of the Southwest Florida Copperheads RLFC to Atlanta.
The season kicks off on May 30th and features a competitive structure of six regular-season games, followed by a South Division Semi Final and Final. The USARL South Champion will then face the Northeast Division winner in the East Coast Championship, with the victor advancing to the National Championship against the West Coast champion.
Competing in the USARL South Division, the Sarasota Bull Sharks will take on:
- Atlanta Copperheads
- Jacksonville Axemen
- Tampa Mayhem
- Miami Shoremen
The stage is set for an exciting debut season as the Bull Sharks look to make their mark in US rugby league. 🦈
